Екологічний клуб Geek Workspace
У 2013 році на кафедрі створено студентський науковий екологічний клуб, головною метою якого є надання можливостей студенту для самореалізації. «Geek workspace» – це спільнота молодих людей, об’єднаних інтересом до інформаційних технологій, технічних і природничих наук. Мету своєї діяльності учасники клубу вбачають у реалізації власних амбіцій, ідей, ініціатив і творчого потенціалу, працюючи над технічними проектами командою.
У 2019-2020 навчальному році студенти ІІ – V курсів під керівництвом викладачів кафедри приймають участь у здійсненні науково-конструкторської діяльності у екологічному клубі. Зокрема, здійснюються наукові роботи на теми:

Participant of the student scientific group "Be eko and Safe" Iryna Horbenko, second-year master of the department of ecology and eco-management of BTEK, became the winner of the 1st round of the All-Ukrainian creative competition of student scientific works "Environmental protection technologies" and presented her competitive scientific work on the topic "Technology of wastewater treatment food industry enterprises in natural conditions" in the II round of the competition.
In her work, Iryna developed a technology for cleaning the return water of food industry enterprises in natural conditions, which will allow to restore the quality of natural water bodies, which have undergone anthropogenic violations during the activity of food industry enterprises, in an ecologically safe way, without the use of chemical reagents. The proposed technology is extremely relevant and necessary for the industry, as it will allow, with minimal financial costs, to restore the qualitative and quantitative indicators of the state of polluted water bodies, due to the restoration of natural mechanisms of their self-regeneration.
The theoretical results of the competitive work can be successfully used for the modernization of the technological scheme of treatment facilities of food industry enterprises. The practical value of the proposed technology, in contrast to others, comes down to the fact that it is the most environmentally friendly and economically profitable for cleaning return water from specific chemical pollutants of food industry enterprises.
